I have to admit I wish I knew where the heck the genderbend idea came from, but on the other hand (having finally caught up with Gaim), I can easily see Michi strongarming Sid for the belt, refusing to part with it because she's a girl, and just kind of going on from there. (Kouta is kind of in love with her in my brain and would love to ask her out, but she's too oblivious about it because she's too focused on herself, and he just can't seem to ask. So that's going nowhere.)
