I broke down and gave in.

It's hard to avoid spoilers in Zero Escape fandom right now, especially if you are factchecking things. So, I bought this so I could play it and stop getting spoilered.

My two year old laptop has troubles unless I do something similar to what I do for Dragon Age: Inquisition, which is to turn the neat graphic stuff down and also use a lower resolution. But it plays! I switched the dialogue to Japanese because I'm used to Japanese with English subtitles and the character dialogue and the lip animation fit. So far, the basic mechanics (apart from the fragment system) feel very VLR-ish.

So far, I've gotten past the first decision screen (twice), had one ending, and hopefully did not kill three people by accident. I picked aka first on the first decision and then ao. I went with the Q team first on the next screen because I wanted to see if they talked about something I got semi-spoiled on. Which they did, once we got through another cinematic with all three teams. I also wanted to meet them because I'm familiar with most of the characters on the other two teams. I enjoyed listening to the Japanese dialogue, though I did have to blink when I suddenly heard the Japanese pronunciation for my hometown. I also noticed the I pronouns for both Q and Zero (boku and watashi respectively). I also have to recheck the English-language dialogue, because I swear Zero said "Ohayo", which means that he's saying "good morning". Are they really playing at 1:00 or so in the morning?
