I find it interesting that you two can't get into it, because I can't get enough of it. Possibly because of all the back references, but definitely because we haven't had a leader for a while who wasn't a newbie/screaming idiot. (I love Ban, but at the same time, I can't stand him)

I can see why people might not like it though. It's about as episodic in nature as Deka was, something people didn't like about Deka as well. There's some interesting minor plots that have yet to see fulfillment, like Natsuki's past, but nothing season-wide.
