Coral Island thoughts, part 2

First of all, I've nominated Coral Island for Yuletide (my other nominations are I Want to Be a Wall, Fatal Frame III, and Starman (TV)). I'm nominating Noah, Aaliyah, Betty, and Worldbuilding.

I'm progressing through the game, though sometimes it gets to be a slog and I go off and play Power Wash Simulator. I've just hit town rank B, which gives me access to the mid-game items that will hold me over until I can hit town rank A.

My farmer finally popped the relationship question to Noah, so he and my Farmer are boyfriend and girlfriend.

Otherwise:
On my farm, things are progressing steadily. Now that I'm at Town Rank B, I have access to every crop that is sold in Starlet Town. (I've been exposed to some mild spoilers and know there's some more crops I won't meet until I rank up.) I also have access to most of the farm animals; again there are some that are likely to be Town Rank A.

My coop and barn are getting kind of full. With every single farm animal, I'm going to max out the spaces in my barn and nearly max out my coop. I might have to sell 2-3 animals (1 coop, 2 barn) to give me some breathing room, or find out how to get the level 3 upgrade. There's the typical Stardew animals (cows, goats, sheep, ducks, chicken) and some exotic ones (peafowl, llama, quail etc).

Skills are progressing nicely. I've hit rank 10 in one (Mining) and the rest are getting up there. I'm still not fond of bug catching or fishing but eh. I'm getting up there and therefore getting tools to make those parts of the game a bit easier.

Offering (bundle) wise, I've completed 18 of the 24 bundles! I've got 4 left on one altar and 2 on another. The two are fish, fun stuff, the rest are things like fancier recipes, expensive animal products and crops, and so on.

Collecting is always my least favorite part of the game, and I do have a ways to go. On the good side, I researched a computer with upgrades, which allows me to see which fish/bugs are spawning at what time in what area. (This machine also lets me buy from the local shops - handy for those times when I realize I need seeds and it's Wednesday.)

My farm is partly automated. I've got a set of chests that auto-feed and auto-collect from the machines around them. I've actually got two sets going - one for making ingots and coral essences, and one for animal/crop artisan goods. Along with the autofeeder I set up in the barn and coop, once I reach Ranching Level 10 I'm hoping to automate collection and petting. I'll still have to pick up three animals' products from outside though, I expect.

I've got access to the midgame Savannah area, along with the associated cave, so I've been exploring both. The cave is really helping me with my combat skill and you can get a ton of geode-type things to help with two of the collections.

To get to Town Rank A I'll need to get really busy on the collections. Along with all the insects and all the fish, you also need to get all the ocean critters, all the dinosaur fossil parts, and all the artifacts/gems. The dinosaur parts and the artifacts/gems just rely on random dumb luck when you break open geodes/chests, which are much easier to get by hitting up the cave in the Savannah.

ETA:
I've got 47 out of 69 fish (68%)
44 of the 53 insects (83%)
29 of the 45 sea critters (64%)
62 of the 78 artifacts (79%)
39 of the 41 gems (95%)
35 of the 60 fossils (58%)
