I picked up this oh-so-familiar meme from [personal profile] dragonfly.

1. Comment on this post with the word sheep and I will pick 5 of your icons
2. Make a post (including the meme info, that would be this) and talk about the icons
3. If you comment with the word sheep, I will pick 5 of yours, and then you can make a post about that. If people comment on your post, you pick 5 of theirs, and so on, and so forth, until the meme dies down.

Dragonfly's choice of icons under the cut.

This icon was from a joke translation of a line in Kamen Rider Den-O. (The English/Engrish was actually "Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce you".) I use it mostly for nonsensical posts, as well as the posts for my Power Rangers fic masterlist.

This is from the webcomic "Girl Genius". In this particular section of the plot, Our Heroes are trying to figure out how to get across a room full of mechanical cat monsters. While they're trying to figure that out, some other people crash the party in a giant robot. Needless to say, Our Heroes are rather startled by the arrival, as is the cat monster at the bottom of the panel. It had such an "O.o" expression that I had to icon it (as did several others). I use it for posts about things that make me want to "O.o".

My Esperanto Dreamsheep icon. I wanted to see if I could make a Dreamsheep icon, and the first thing that came to mind was the Esperanto flag. So, after about a dozen tries, I ended up with this sheep, which I use on the rare occasions I post in Esperanto.

This icon is from Kamen Rider Kabuto. To make a long explanation as short as possible, one of the heroes was betrayed by a monster that had hidden in the form of a young boy. Despite this, the hero decides to do something nice for the monster, who he'd formed a friendship with (as the boy). Well, the building is blown up, with the hero in it. As the fireball from the explosion is reaching the hero and the monster, the monster thanks the hero and shields him from the blast (not necessarily in that order). Because sometimes I really forget that what I do makes a difference, I made the icon to remind me that I do. Despite that, I don't use it all that much.

This is Otoya from Kamen Rider Kiva. He's from 1986 (the series was broadcast in 2008 and takes place in that year and 1986), thus the slightly odd fashion sense. In this particular shot, he's luring out a bad guy who's going after people who wear sunglasses, and he uses this conch to signal the rest of the group that he's been found by the bad guy. I mostly use him for announcements, when I make them.

I quite like your last three icons.

What is a dreamsheep? (Obviously it is DW-related, but where did it start?)

The Otoya/conch one is brilliant for announcements. Not just because he just happens to be using a conch, but because in that shot he IS using it to say he's been found by the baddies - there's something about you, and a few other people I follow, for whom such an image just works, where I half-expect you to make an equivalent announcement that works in the real world (I'm sleepy and rambly - does that make sense?).

The intensive background of the Kabuto one is cool - I wonder how many other people have such complicated stories behind an icon!
