Romance Novels (Kamendressing; Kiva-based)
My muses seem very active tonight. This is a teenaged female Taiga.
Taiga reads romance novels, any romance novel she can get a hold of, though she prefers the ones where two people are bonded together. It reminds her, despite everything, that she will make it through her time at the latest boarding school where she cares more about her books than making friends with her food sources. That she will someday meet her Queen, who will be there for her and love her and she will love right back.
She's known ever since the time just before her Guardian sent her away about what she is. Superior to the humans around her, King of the Fangire people. Bishop hadn't been able to tell her much about what she was supposed to be and do before Shima found her again and sent her away, but he did tell her that someday she would have a Queen and they'd be together and they'd have a family like Taiga and her parents were a family.
It's something to look forward to. Someday she'll be King like she's supposed to be. She'll eat her guardian and the rest of those who opposed the Fangire. They are all cattle. Even the nice ones like her friend Wataru.
She's thankful that Bishop had told her everything. It would have been too easy to fall into the trap of loving Wataru, though she loved him dearly, because he was the first human she'd ever felt comfortable with. She'd never eat him, he was too nice and something in her wanted to protect him, no matter what. Maybe, after she marries her Queen, she'll find Wataru and then find him a nice human girl. There has to be someone shy and quiet and sweet, just like he was.
But that is a long ways off. And until she can leave, doesn't need Shima anymore, she'll read her novels and long for that day.
