One amusing bit, one thoughtful bit, and one ranty bit

Amusing bit: My alma mater has apparently been sending my father the alumni magazine for 15 years, ever since I entered college. We didn't know this until he asked my mom where the college was. (Since my mom, my grandfather, and I graduated from the same college, we never knew they sent the magazine to non-alum parents.) We figure he got on the list with my paperwork, and nobody in my family knew that he was getting it, so nobody told them to take him off the list.

Thoughtful bit: I wanted to bring more attention to Rosegarden (and also to the currently-posting "White is the Color of Guilt", aka Insane!Trentfic), and so I wrote what I thought would be a relatively simple throwaway called "Arrogance". One of the characters there is Japanese, and since I am writing this the way I am, I can't have him suddenly speak English. (Yes, he is going to be speaking Japanese the whole fic. And yes, I get to write his dialogue. In Japanese.) I've written in a foriegn language before (see Li Ne Estas), but never in the middle of an English fic. It's going to be very... interesting. (For those following it, part 2 will be up whenever I can manage the Japanese and after part 2 of "White" posts.)

Ranty bit: When I went to post "Arrogance" at fanfiction.net, I had to reagree to the terms of service, and it said something about reagreeing every seven days or so. I really, really hope that's bad text.
