Fic: Cake and Growth (Gokaiger)
Jun. 13th, 2012 05:18 amSummary: Gai is ready to celebrate his first year with his team.
( Baking is usually considered Joe's realm )
In the last 24 hours, I’ve gotten two fics done, neither of which was the one I intended to work on (which was Discovering the Sun chapter 8 part 2). So, for those interested, my latest two fics are “Quite Up To Normal” (AO3), a POV shift for my Gokaiger fics “Only a Pirate’s Dreams”/”Choosing This Life”, and “Also Serve” (AO3/FFn), which is based off of some spoilery dialogue in 41, but is set fairly early on in OOOs.
I’ve shipped Umeko/Mikoto ever since Deka vs Aba. Recent Gokainger events made me think about this pairing once more, and write it. Spoilers for Deka vs Aba and Gokaiger 18.
Summary: Mikoto has some news for Umeko.
Not that it’s hugely changed, it’s just with added Gai. There’s about 7 shots in here of about 200k each.
( Read the rest of this entry » )This is a followup to my fic “Only a Pirate’s Dreams”, which I have posted on fanfiction.net and AO3, in which Gai visits an aunt with a huge protective streak and the skills to back it up (though maybe not against a bunch of space pirates). In this one, Ahim watches over Gai, and by extension over Marvelous, after the events of “Only a Pirate’s Dreams”.
( Read the rest of this entry » )At least I have only one obsessive muse at a time (though my brain started to give me a Gokaiger/RPM plotbunny and I had to run away screaming).
So, today I got a bunny that bugged me, and I ended up with the fic “Is Law”, which is Gai getting a clue that there are some ways that you don’t act on a Ranger team comprised of pirates. It’s at AO3 .
I’ve been thinking about a certain character who appears in episode 17, and I thought I’d put together some thoughts on them.
( Read the rest of this entry » )Summary: Gai always wanted to be a Ranger. He wasn’t expecting a set of uncaring pirates for teammates. He’ll have to fix that. PG/8+
Note: A Gai POV from mid-17, with speculation from the 18 preview, so spoilers. Gai seems to require a lot of exclamation points. The last fic of my yearly unbirthday ficspam.
