I've decided that, sometime between now and 2010, I will be taking on the coursework for a MLIS (Masters in Library and Information Science), probably by distance learning (I can't afford the city where the nearest MLIS program is).

Why, you ask?

Thank my lovely IT department and its censorware problem, and also WebSENSE. I've been reading quite a bit ever since this started, and the American Library Association is very strongly anti-censorware (and anti-censorship in general) and very pro-information. And libraries are really cool.

In other words, I think I do want to be a librarian when I grow up.

I have taken to doing google searches on break, in the hopes that I can express my discontent to IT, Information Security, and the datacenter. So, all my data searches lately on break have been "censorware", "websense censorware" "websense idiots", and even "websense mistake".

Oh, and ran across this wonderful name for a restaurant: "Tex Wasabi's Rock and Roll Sushi". I now have a picture of a Japanese samurai in a cowboy hat....
