What I'd really love is a list of the books.

The Octavia E Butler scholarship fund is having a raffle. They're offering 5 ereaders packed with works from African-American writers.

I've been a fan of Octavia Butler for a long while. The scholarship sends writers of color to Clarion West to learn/improve their writing, which I think is cool. My only conflict is that while I don't really need an ereader, I'd want to read the stuff it comes with.

Maybe if I donate via paypal and ask politely, they'll send me a list?

So, Yuletide fandoms are up.

Surprisingly, most of the PR series got in. I’m not sure why. I figured that one or two of the smaller seasons would get through the filter, not our bigger AO3 ones, like DT or NS.

So, it looks like we have available this Yuletide:
MMPR, Zeo, Turbo, Space, Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, Wild Force, Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder, Mystic Force, Jungle Fury, and Operation Overdrive. Don’t ask me why this doesn’t include S.P.D or R.P.M. I suspect that Ninja Storm was helped by the fact that about 50% of the fics were me and TpTigger.

All the Kamen Rider ones got through. My other two nominations (Final Fantasy II and Mio min Mio/Mio my son) also both got through, which is not surprising, as FF II has two entries and Mio min Mio has zero. And hopefully the wrangler that got to figure out how to handle the dual character names in Mio is not too frustrated, because that had to be a lot of work for one tiny, tiny fandom….
