One issue I remember from the game is that you'd rapidly use all your Life (basically, Spellpoints) floating in the air. Which everybody in the game does, except for the Catalysts (priests, of a sort). This is fairly easily fixable - basically just rule that everybody floats as much as they breathe. It's sort of the same thing as not having to figure out daily expenses or cost of living.
I'll start going through the game and seeing what else was driving me bonkers, and try to fix it. The goal is to do so without switching the whole thing to an existing system, or writing my own.
