Silly things I did today
Nov. 13th, 2013 06:24 pm* Started a fic that's kind of sort of transcribing Fatal Frame I. This is to keep me from writing All The Treats for Yuletide this year, because really? I'd like to have a year where I only have about five fics to keep track of countwise and to write notes about. (Current fic count is 1 unbetaed Yuletide fic, 1 complete treat, and two incomplete treats.)
* Revised my Yuletide fic into version 2.5. I keep finding new things to put into it. Also, I'm waiting for consistent hippos in Yuletide chat.
* Bought Fatal Frame IV (aka Zero: Tsukihami no Kamen) because I found it at a decent price at a place where it did not have to be shipped from Japan. I'm going to hand it over to my aunt to wrap for Christmas, so that I don't open it before late December. I really need to finish Fragile Dreams and Fatal Frame III before I hit Fatal Frame IV. Then tried to convince my aunt that she could give that to me for Christmas instead of any gift cards, because really, I don't need anything. Did not work.
* I was reading someone's review of Kamen Rider Kiva on Tumblr. I'm fond of the series, but can see their points. That being said, I was cracking up because they called Mio "Mayu" for the whole review. Too much Fatal Frame II (people get Mio's and Mayu's names mixed up in reviews, after all)? (They also misspelled Taiga's name throughout the whole review, but it's not as hilarious as the Mio/Mayu mixup.
* On the more embarrassing side, I noticed when I posted the fic that I mentioned above that I posted a draft instead of the full complete part, so it still had an author's note in it. Oops?
ETA: And I posted my first Let's Play! But now I'm rerendering it so you can actually hear things. And then I have to re-annotate it. I'll be fixing audio/annotating new parts every few days after that.
