In the tokusatsu series GARO Makai Senki, Kaoru (one of the protagonists) is working on a picture book. In most if not all of the ending credits, she's doing something unique to that episode and then we see her latest picture. This icon is apparently from episode 1, as evidenced by this Youtube video. I seem to remember making more of these, but the rest have been lost to time. I did apply various subtle effects to the image as well as cropping it.
This was my default for a while, which leads me into the next one:
My current default userpic! It's from Kamen Rider W Forever: A to Z/The Gaia Memories of Fate, an early scene where Philip is looking at the blank book he uses when he's accessing the Gaia Library. It make a great generic icon because unless you are familiar with Kamen Rider W, it's just a blank book and a little bit of Philip.
I love Nozomi from Kamen Rider Blade. She's a regular person who's gotten involved in the series' Battle Fight because of her boyfriend Mutsuki (one of the Riders in the series). As she says at one point in the series "I am not afraid!" (to one of the series monsters, no less!). She's trying to make sense of this world she's been thrown into and not always succeeding, but she's too stubborn to back out.
While I can't remember exactly what episode this comes from or what Nozomi is doing, there is a point in the series where she is trying to hold onto a possessed Mutsuki and she refuses to let go. This is what Nozomi does - she holds on, thus the icon text.
