estirose: The words "Chophead Tinybits" in a speech bubble. (Chophead Tinybits - Girl Genius)
When Texas passed its insane abortion law, I started looking at my vendors and cutting out any companies I could that headquartered in Texas. (The exceptions being AT&T, due to no decent broadband competitors in my area, and I don't think Oracle makes any money off of personal Virtualbox so I'm willing to keep using that.) That takes out several software companies, Dell Electronics, HP, Southwest and American Airlines, among others. My next computer's coming from System76 in Colorado (they only sell Linux boxes).

Looks like Idaho is copycatting that law, so I looked at the same for them. Albertson's (which among their subsidiaries seems to also be Safeway and Vons) seems to be the big one. Micron, whose big brand is Crucial is a bit more of a pain, since they're a big computer storage/memory (SSD) company and I do a lot of storage. One of the ones I'm really sad about is ScottEVest, as I own quite a few products and they're my go-to for clothes with lots of pockets. Sigh.

I wish states wouldn't keep passing anti-woman, pro-forced-birther policies. I was gratified to find out that I wouldn't have to alter my eventual Amtrak trip - there's only one stop in Idaho on the route I'm looking and so not a big deal.

Grr. Argh.
