Someday I will stop doing Unconventional Courtship

I can't write romance fic worth a darn, and every single try at this fest has been very very gen friendship. I think this will be my last year trying this.

This time around, I wrote My Time at Sandrock, in a universe where Burgess is not a town NPC but has stayed in the village he came from. I did have some fun figuring out where to stick characters where it would not be an easy trek to a Yakmel Station and therefore back to Sandrock, as the plot is definitely a "two people stuck in a snowstorm... er, sandstorm have to seek refuge" storyline.
