My Time at Sandrock Act 3 out!
Sep. 26th, 2023 07:47 amThis is the end of the main game, but they will be adding features (like the factory, for those who played Portia + a greenhouse + kids) in full release.
I was one of the beta testers for the Act 3 content, except I never really got to betatest Act 3, so I just got a bit of the early game new content. On the good side, my RL name will apparently go in the credits as a beta tester because I filed a ton of bug reports, so yay?
(Why didn't I get to betatest act 3? Well, because something really messy caused anybody testing on Linux, including the Steam Deck, to have issues every time we loaded into the main environment + we had to start new saves so we didn't screw up our old. So up until last weekend we couldn't really test it. I run Linux and have no machine that a) runs Windows and b) has the minimum specs, so yeah. So I'm seeing the new content about the same time as non-testers, but I feel good in that I helped squash a bunch of early-game glitches that will make the game much easier for people who decide to restart their game and/or new players.)
I terribly brightly accidentally deleted my main save (Tamian) so I'm speedrunning with my new beta character. She's cute! Her name is Jia.
ETA: I want to make clear I'm not hating on the Pathea devs; they were trying to fix an issue that affected an unsupported OS (and some people with affected OSes), and were completely unfamiliar with Proton or Linux.
