I hate Nintendo more than ever.
Mar. 4th, 2024 04:25 pmYuzu settled with Nintendo, taking Yuzu out but also taking CITRA out. Citra is the emulator I use for 3DS games.
I will make it clear. I do not pirate games. Every game that I've backed up on my 2ds is one I own and I am merely shifting the games I own to other platforms.
But I like archiving and I like the idea of not losing games that I've paid for even when the original console dies.
I am seriously reconsidering buying a Switch, even if it means losing out on the new Fantasy Life game.
Citra wasn't doing Nintendo any harm. The 3ds series is dead. It didn't need to be collateral damage.
Fuck Nintendo.
ETA: Apparently Nintendo is speshul and believes its games should not be backed up, much less emulated. Fuck them, I'm keeping my games and my 3DS emulator.
