There's a program called Reflector, which allows you to use AirDrop AirPlay to send your iOS screen to Windows and Android. As a bonus, it records. Under the cut is a test of TheatRhythm Final Fantasy, which is a rhythm game set to various Final Fantasy tunes. My choice for testing is "Memoro de la Ŝtono" from Final Fantasy XI.

The characters I'm using are Warrior of Light (Final Fantasy I), Lightning (Final Fantasy 13), Firion (Final Fanasy II), and Minwu (Final Fantasy II). There's an abrupt cutoff on the song because I had to pause it - Memoro is a pretty distinctive song, and I wasn't sure how tetchy Youtube was about how much I included.

A friend has a 3DS demo of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy with unlimited uses but only a few songs, which happens to include the one song that she'd want the game for so I've never seen anything but The Man with the Machine Gun played. Really cool program, too!

Maybe they learned from that demo not to include it as a starter.

I'm not much of a gamer on iOS (or in general), but I will always recommend 999: The Novel, which is a streamlined version of the DS game. I should play some of the FF games when I get my Apple ID stuff straightened out-- I like RPGs a lot even though I'm not very good at them.

999 is largely a VN with puzzles, and the iOS version takes it a step further by removing the puzzles and making hopping around the timeline a much easier process. I think you'd find the story interesting, too. The basic premise is that nine people are mysteriously kidnapped and forced to play a game to escape a sinking ship with a nine hour limit. I'd be a little cautious about recommending it to anyone because there are some horror elements and violent endings, but you've mentioned that Fatal Frame is horror, so. (I actually first played it with a friend because she had trouble playing it by herself.) Sorry, it's just that the Zero Escape series is one of my big fandoms and I'm not very good at being brief about it.

Not bad choices, I think. Do you buy songs separately? I'm no good at rhythm games, but maybe sometime I'll just try the free stuff to see.

I've never actually played a Final Fantasy in any depth, but I'd like to at some point. Well, I have played FF Tactics Advance, but that's not the same. Oh, it's in Esperanto? That's really cool. I keep meaning to learn more about Esperanto-- I'm not very good at languages, but I like them and I understand that Esperanto was designed to be relatively easy to pick up.

I really hope you like it! I'm not sure how easy it will be to fit in while you have so many things going on, but the advantage of iOS is that you can close it whenever you need to. I think I played through the iOS version in a day, but I didn't have anything else that day and I'd played the DS version before.
