Summary:
It may surprise people, but I'm occiasionally in the mood for the type of horror that is the Saw franchise. Most of the Saw tag on AO3 is about the major characters, but my heart went out to a minor character who survived (as far as we know) not only the movie she was in, but the last film in the series. Addy is the secretary of the main protagonist of the movie, an insurance executive who has to go through horrifying trials. She obviously survives Saw VI, the movie that she's in as she makes a cameo in the next film. So, I had to write a story about her freeing herself and then getting herself out of the place. It's a missing scene kind of celebrating a minor character's survival.

Kamen Rider Kiva is definitely a problematic fave of mine. I both loved Mio and wanted to thud her, both at the same time. I loved the world of Kiva, but I hated its way of treating most/all of the female characters, something I didn't figure out for quite a while. In my later fic, I started writing female characters that could be stronger, and made Wataru female a lot because I wanted a hero that was not a guy. In this case, I ended up with a Wataru that was still in love with Mio, but they were both girls, and Wataru was still encouraging Mio to be stronger.

I absolutely adore worldbuilding prompts, so when I was asked for a prompt involving pre-fiend Kary (who in the iOS/PSP version I played was Marilith), I was happy to oblige, even if Mt Gulg/Gurgu Volcano was not my favorite dungeon ever. As the prompter mentions, it's obvious there was a civilization there, or once was. In this case, Kary ends up healing a visitor from the future (who probably spends the rest of his life in the Volcano, to be honest).
