"The Bench Still Warm" was my 2015 Yuletide fic. Estelraca, my recipient, requested Kenzaki, Hajime, and Tachibana, and among other things, to have Tachibana act as a middleman between Kenzaki and the others. Which kind of happened? I still adore this fic because I was able to write post-Blade for someone and even stick in my favorite theory that Kenzaki wasn't the only one changed by their interactions with the Undead.

This is kind of in the middle of the "Taking Up A Tape" sequence, where Medic decides on her own (because she's Medic) that Kiriko needs to be fixed for Heart's sake. At the time, I didn't have the whole sequence of who evolved when straight in my mind, so I presumed that Medic evolved far earlier than she did in canon. Nontheless, I like this fic because Medic can be one chilling character to write.

I think sometimes people mistake it for fluff because to Ramon it is pleasant fluff and Ramon is the POV character. I value writing it because it helped me learn how to write interesting characters seeing bad things as good in a bit scarier way instead of fluff.

I have to admit, I only had a vague sense of Kevin's character when I was writing it, so the fact that he came out well was amazing. Not only that, it was remixed a few years later into a much expanded fic, which gave the person who prompted it another fic to enjoy, so it makes me glad that I wrote it.

As the summary notes, this is mostly Power Rangers Dino Thunder, with Mutsuki (and in smaller bits, Nozomi and Jo/Tiger Undead) being posessed. There was a long gap between 1-4 and 5-6, which is very noticible to me. Still, I'm glad I finished it after several years and the loss of a translator, because it's a nice example of a crossover where there's Japanese characters crossing over with American ones and everybody doesn't speak the same language for most of it.

I absolutely adored poor Komari, but canon was pretty clear that that there was going to be a Nakatsu/Ashiya/Shun love triangle, and it went with the whole "Shuichi is confused about is sexuality" thing. (The only other thing I remember about this is that the recipient put the incorrect/no AO3 name on there and it took some detective work to find the correct person to gift this to.)

This one only required a little canon review (the requester pointed out some episodes to watch if you were new to the fandom and needed to get to know Frankie and Abbey), and some use of wikis and websites to find out more about the characters and their world. I'm very proud of this. It's probably my best femslash work and deserves the hits it's gotten.

I love this fic, even though it needs some fixing whenever I have time. (Oops.) It's about a desperate Trent trying to make his teammates safe, and everybody else kind of objecting to that plan. Also, Tptigger and I stuck the concept of the 1992 version of the Tomorrow People in here, which confused some readers. (It's why there is a link to my fic "Called Blood" in there now.)
