This is an interesting meme:
There's a bunch of fic-based memes around. How did you pick the title, why did you start with that first line, what happens after the story ends, etc. If you like, pick a story of mine and ask me any one of those questions, from the ones I just listed or any others you can think of.
Or the questions can be about writing in general or original stories, like the question posed by this meme
Q: What is your favorite story?
A: Oh, my. I have a few. Best way is to split them up by fandom/series:
Tokusatsu series: "Falling". I just nailed Kiba Yuji perfectly, I think.
Power Rangers: Hard to tell, but I share a favorite with a lot of people: "Inside Out" (which was amazing, since I'm nothing like Eric or Taylor). I did amazingly well on "Over the Borderline", too (yep, Trip/Katie's so rare that I'm not gonna run into a problem here). And I think "Building Family" and "White is the Color of Guilt" are amazing stories too (though that might be because
tptigger is an awesome cowriter).
Earth: Final Conflict: "The Illusion Sits Well With Me".
Tomorrow's Future (Highlander/Tomorrow People universe): "Telepathic Ghosts" and "Mistakes". This was the best job I ever did at two intertwined stories. I could have come up with better titles, but what the hey.
Q: Which character is easier to write about, and why?
A: Trip, from Power Rangers Time Force. My personality can be described as a mix of Trip and Sky (from SPD), with a bit of Madison (of MF) tossed in, but he's the one I have the best handle on.
Q: What is the title of your most recent fic (either on the archive or not), and why did you choose it?
A: Well, the most recent fic not in the archive is actually two: "Revival in G Minor" and "Patheticness". They were posted on here yesterday. "Patheticness" is a description of Kagami's mood, while "Revival in G Minor" has to do with the themes of the episode I took it from: Music and death.
The most recently archived fic is "Scott's Secret", which was named because it had to do with... you guessed it... Scott's secret. This is, ironically enough, my first fanfic ever. No, I didn't do imaginative titles when I was 14.
The latest new fic archived to Inkwell is "Unwanted Wings", so named because Kagami doesn't want to be a Rider, to be launched in the vaunted ranks of the Riders.
Q: Why do you nearly always start with a one or two line/sentence paragraph?
A: I really don't know. You could say it's part of my style, since I've been doing it for so long, and I'm sure there's a reason why I do, but danged if I know why.
