NaNo progress, day 2

estiroseWell, I've managed to finish day two of nanowrimo with slightly higher than expected wordcount. Let's see if I can get even more done tomorrow.
I'm somewhat luckier than most people that I'm writing fanfic, and for that matter, rehashing some episodes, although in an AU manner. I just managed to make Tendou show up at the end of Chapter one, and he'll make a larger appearance in Chapter 2. Since I changed out the setting, ZECT is no longer trying to kill him, but I don't think it'll make things any easier for Kagami as he tries to deal with Tendou.
I don't have a plot outline. I do have a vague idea of what I need to recreate, what needs to be modified, and what needs to be tossed. But otherwise, I have nothing but chapter summaries. And even those are subject to change; Chapter 1 was supposed to be "Heaven", not "Mirror".
As I mentioned in an earlier post, it's hard to write Kabuto AU fanfic without inviting comparisons to "God Speed Love", but I'm hoping I stay far enough away from the original series and the events of GSL (which I have yet to see).
I'm hoping to get through most of chapter 2 and into chapter 3, but since chapter 2 has some important stuff (including the appearance of a certain Kagami Ryu), I suspect that it's going to be a nice long chapter. Or maybe not.
