Nanowrimo 2010, start!

I’m not going to do these every day, but it was the first day of NaNoWriMo 2010, so here are some quick notes. The first 5000+ words will be posted in a day or so. These notes discuss the end of Kiva, so spoilers abound.
So, writing a post-series Kamen Rider Kiva novel. It takes place after the fight in the last episode, and will go on to cover Taiga’s board meeting. (The whole Neo-Fangire thing will be mentioned, I think, but glossed over.)
When I told my boss I was about 2000 words in (at the time; I’m now about 3500), he was amazed. “So you had a detailed outline?” he asked.
“I had a seven point brief outline,” I responded, and while I was a little off (it’s nine points), it’s really not more than a rough sequence of events and a note about the villains. I’m still figuring out who they are (I know what they are, but not who), at the same time as I put names to the faces of Taiga’s Board of Directors and try to flesh out the world a bit more. In the meantime, I have a plot featuring Ramon and his daughter Aya that will start… sometime in the next five thousand words, I hope.
So far, I’ve mentioned one recurring OC (Dawn, who I need to look up what I gave her for a True name and a human name), and I’m going to add Aya to that list soon. All I know at this point is that Aya is not a fighter, dangit! (Nor is she an Fangire of any kind, despite my moment of forgetfulness when I named her.) To that, I’ve added two board members, and I think one of them is going to be at least a minor antagonist.
I can safely say that I’m writing by the seat of my pants, and will post each 5,000 words as I hit them. For the first 5000, I think this will happen tomorrow or Wednesday.
