ship_manifesto submission and turned it in. The comm is moderated, so hopefully the post will be up by morning.
Except I posted it friends-only. Hopefully the maintainer will forgive me for that.
Here's why I set my posts with images to friends-only for a few seconds:
1. There are image aggregators that pick up images in new LJ posts.
2. Said image aggregators muck up my logs and suck my bandwidth if I post publically.
However, if I set my posts to friends only/private for the minute or so it takes me to post and then edit the post, I don't get my bandwidth sucked.
So, I'm in the habit of posting items with images friends-only for a few seconds, no matter if it's in my own journal or a comm. Obviously, had I realized that the comm was modded, I wouldn't have worried, but it's hard to override my tendency to pull the "friends-only for a few seconds" trick.
