Here's a fic I wrote, set in the "Boxed In" AU for Kiva. It's called "Pseudo", and is rated 8+.

Wataru walked, surrounded by people. People who had no clue what he was, no suspicion, no inkling. No idea that the teenager in their midst was a Fandiri, hidden by his family, kept from the Fangaire that would so much like to take him away.
From as far back as he could remember, both he and Megumi-san had avoided school. He could remember being afraid of going to school, of being found out when he was at school, being taken away just because he was Fandiri and his father had neglected to tell anybody about it. School lunches were a dangerous thing for a hidden Fandiri. Once the grownups knew what he was, he wouldn't see his family again.
So he didn't go to school, learned all that he could from the internet and from what schooling Yuri-san, Shima-san, and his father could give, assisted by tutors hired to help him and Megumi-san out. He was as educated as they could make him; he knew that there wasn't much more they could do.
But if he intended to stay free, unmarked, as human as he could be, then he needed to pretend. Needed to stay out of the public eye. Needed to be inconspicuous. He was practicing that now, for he'd need to keep doing it for the rest of his life.
So he walked like he wasn't Fandiri, like he was an ordinary human, like he was something he desperately wished to be. Because it was safer that way.
