GYWO progress, 1/4/09

I got 884 words in today, which puts me at 3317 for the month/year. That's about 577 words over. Nice, huh? Today's isn't posted because it's a WIP, a fic set in a Kiva AU, with references to events in kamendressing. When it does get done, it'll post to estorise.

Here's a snippet:
He reached for the lock with shaking fingers, realizing after a moment that it was not locked anymore. Someone had cut it. The same with the barbed wire. Someone had been there, someone had tried to get to him, and then he'd not been there because his older sister had taken him away.

As an update on the one I wrote on the 2nd, it is now posted to the Yuletide Treasure archive. It's a Starman (1986 television series) fanfic called "Living the Ordinary Life", written for New Years' Resolutions 2009 and posted here. It almost fits with the other fic I did for Yuletide, going into some things that I didn't have time for/just forgot for the original fic.
