estiroseI keep forgetting to update this thing. Oh well.
Fandom-wise, here's what's going on:
1. I have partially written my fic for Unconventional Courtship. It's for My Time at Portia, because the summary I used happened to have an Emily, and there's a character called Emily in the game. Posting is on the 12th of this month.
2. Before the end of the month, I need to write and finish my intoabar fic. This year I am apparently writing Ami from the 90s version of The Tomorrow People getting to meet Taylor from the game Fantasy Life because that's how the RNG happened. Ami in Reveria it is! She'll like Taylor, I think.
3. I bought myself the PC version of Cozy Grove because while I like it a lot, playing it on my tiny iPhone screen was not working too well. I'm unfortunately back on week 1 and just have met my 5th inhabitant (of 6 I had met before I switched).
4. I bought a PS2 (or PS3) clone controller (it connects via USB). I've been using it to play Stardew Valley on a Linux machine. I tried it on a Windows machine, but Windows doesn't want to recognize the controller, alas. Stardew Valley plays really well with the controller! I was surprised.
4a. The same controller kind of works with My Time at Portia under Proton (Steam's way of letting you play Windows games under Linux), except it thinks I have a XBox controller. Camera control is a bit quirky!
5. Speaking of My Time at Portia, it's being ported to iOS/Android (announcement came today!) and is getting the save-midday feature that Pathea apparently can't bother to implement in any other version.
6. Lin Fan/Marco Lin is in a new competition show called "Girls Like Us", which is hip-hop/rap-focused. The preview ep has an English sub but not anything else. I'll start linking when the show starts if it has an English sub on Youtube.
7. It looks like conventions might slowly be going back to normal. My local anime con is happening in September/October (I forget exactly which) with proof of vaccine and/or masks. I'm aiming for the convention after that, which will allow me to put finishing touches on my cosplay outfit (I need a bag, shoes, and one or two other things) and learn to crochet better.
I almost forgot because this year has been this year, but I am looking to do some drabbles/very short fic mid this month (around the 13th), so please feel free to drop prompts into the reply and I might be able to write something.
