This was remixed off my The World Changes and I Do Not, a rather meta Stardew Valley fic that featured a farmer who had lived one too many lives on one too many farms. (Yeah, I'd been a bit burned out on Stardew Valley when I wrote it.) It takes the premise (Farmer who knows exactly what to expect), switches it to Maru's POV, and notes how unnatural the game mechanics would actually look if Stardew Valley was real. (Anthem, the farmer in question, does not go after Maru in her original fic because she's too busy grumping about having to live yet another life on yet another farm; the author probably noticed my sheer amount of Farmer/Maru fics!)
