Steam Deck... may be a while
Apr. 4th, 2022 04:36 pmI'm considered Quarter 2, but some of the tools are showing (based on Q1 shipping) that I may not get my Deck until mid-June. Yay?
Right now, 11 of my games on Steam are verified, 29 are playable, 10 are unplayable (someday, Fatal Frame V, someday, please?), and 67 are unverified.
Of my regularly-played GOG games, Stardew Valley is listed on Steam as verified, Epistory is unverified (but it's a typing game so it's not really a good fit as is), and Expession Amrilato is also unverified (but likely going to be verified, because it's a visual novel that just requires a mouse). So the GOG versions are likely to be fine as well.
ETA: Speaking of Fatal Frame V, thanks to Proton-Experimental-GE (which is a branch of Proton, which itself is a branch of WINE), I have the game running on Linux... sort of. It's not recognizing controller inputs and there are issues with the cutscenes freezing up, but at least it's gotten beyond crashing every time I try to load a save or start a new game. I was able to navigate through the tutorial with keyboard controls.
