governmentcontrolledcats, which is an original fiction, prompt-driven contest. You get a prompt in the form of "x is forbidden, and the government controls y" (it's a dystopian parody challenge, some of the challenges were very subtle parodies).
Anyway, the entries for round 2 are due inless than 24 hours (The deadline is/was 11:59 PM New York time on the 23rd) and there have only been 2 submissions so far, so, if you enjoy writing 1-500 word original fics, head on over and have some fun.
