This is for
tptigger, for her birthday. It's Tori-centric, and has more than a little Tori/Blake.
Summary: Tori waits for Blake, and muses.
The water was a cool sapphire as Tori held her board to her side. She was meeting Blake shortly; she hoped he'd eventually join her in the water.
Blake would never be a big surfer. But that was okay by her. They'd been through so much together that it really didn't matter. When you were used to working together on a team, it made things easier. You protected each other, you were there for each other, you argued a lot, but in the end you came together.
It was hard to believe that if she hadn't been a ninja, hadn't made it to school on time, hadn't recieved the morpher, that she wouldn't have met Blake and his brother. But at least they had, and no matter what side he'd started on, he was a good guy. They'd been steady for months, and Tori didn't see that going away any time soon. Sure, Blake was often on his tours, but they took the time they could.
She didn't regret it one bit, not anything that had happened. All the pain was worth it, in the end.
Eventually, Blake would be done, and she would be ready, and they'd be married. Maybe after college, though. Sensei Omino had given his blessing, and her parents liked Blake, too.
But that was in the future, and it was only now. In the meantime, they'd steal moments like these, be together, enjoy their lives.
As Blake came over the hill, she waved at him, and he waved back, running towards her, and she caught him in a hug.
It was all that needed to be said.
