estiroseAs a total side note to everything else, I was going through some very old stuff of mine and found that sometime in 1986 or so I'd photocopied the pages of "Deities and Demigods" (a Dungeons and Dragons book, in this case, 1st ed) from the printing that had to be discontinued because it contained material that wasn't okayed by the rights owners after all. (I didn't know about the issue until years later, when the pages in question were packed away and long forgotten.)
Obviously, I know better now, but I think I felt that my printing of the book was missing all these neat nifty pages, so why shouldn't I photocopy them so I could stick them in my copy of the book?
(I still seriously think that Wizards of the Coast made a stupid, stupid mistake by pulling the PDF files and I hope someday that they realize that I would kind of, you know, like to be able to buy legitimate PDFs of Original-3.5e D&D. I don't care a whit for 4e, I really don't like WotC's changes from 3/3.5, I want my 1e and 2e material back!)
Oh, and speaking of WOTC being idiots, I don't hold great hope for legal PDFs to ever be available, as they now require you to REGISTER FOR A FREAKING ACCOUNT in order to SEND THEM an email.
I refuse to do so. They are getting a postal letter, if anything.
