Nov. 18th, 2011 06:31 pmAs a total side note to everything else, I was going through some very old stuff of mine and found that sometime in 1986 or so I'd photocopied the pages of "Deities and Demigods" (a Dungeons and Dragons book, in this case, 1st ed) from the printing that had to be discontinued because it contained material that wasn't okayed by the rights owners after all. (I didn't know about the issue until years later, when the pages in question were packed away and long forgotten.)
Obviously, I know better now, but I think I felt that my printing of the book was missing all these neat nifty pages, so why shouldn't I photocopy them so I could stick them in my copy of the book?
( And now WotC griping that nobody wants to hear )
