Finish-a-thon is open!

I haven't signed up yet, but I will be. If you are like me and you have a lot of plot bunnies and/or WIPs and you want to have some accountability to get one of them done, then this might be something you're looking at. The general description is here.
Because Finish-a-thon is a bit quirky - you give people 3-10 fics to vote on, and they choose the one you are going to finish - I wanted to reserve one fic for a "I really want to get this done" slot this summer. That fic is "Useless Things". So, it's not in this round.
The ones that are going in (selected by a combination of "stuff I thought I could finish with a little push" and "fics that people indicated they wanted finished") are below. We'll have to see which one gets chosen.
Burden of a Cradle: When Gai and Ahim find out they're going to become parents, it brings new complications into their lives. For Gai, it's trying to find the way around a universe when he's never really left his home world; for Ahim, it brings the full burdens of being Queen of what's left of her people. But they're responsible, especially to each other, and at least they have the team behind them. (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger) URL: http://archiveofourown.org/works/227518
This and the other Tokusatsu fandoms suffer from the rest of the participants not being familiar with the fandoms, so they'll be working on the strength of the descriptions for the most part. In this part, the teaser is expanded from what I'd use with strictly fandom-wise; most people in fandom know about Ahim and Gai's relative life experiences.

For the sake of the Tokusatsu series, I'm usually hesitant to put in PR plot bunnies and WIPs as they are more likely to be voted on as people have heard of PR. In this case, this being Mpreg makes me less nervous. I'm sure people will think that a het Mpreg is plenty weird.

The same issue applies here; it's a PR fic, but it mentions Mpreg. It's also not as obvious that it's het (and I'm sure people will be confused by the "het" label when I put it in). It's got more of a detailed teaser because if I say too much about "Doing It For You" I ruin the plot surprise.
Scent of Roses in December: Gai's always wanted to be part of a Sentai team, having idolized them over so many years. But when he awakes one day on the ship and headquarters of the newest Sentai team - the Space Pirates that call themselves the Gokaigers - he now must decide whether he's living his dream or if he's being used to destroy all that he holds dear. This also needed more expansion, teaser-wise. It goes into Gai's defining feature, the fact that the Gokaigers are space pirates, and what the issue is, which might help.
Settling in the Unprecedented Way: In the tradition-bound world of Makai Priests and Knights, the relationship between Kouga, Kaoru, and Leo is unimaginable. But the three of them are determined to set up a home and a relationship with each other, despite the consequences. When Leo is ordered back to his home territory, can the trio’s relationship and family survive? Threesome, het-heavy, some slash. (GARO Makai Senki) (Plot bunny, no URL)
I try to slip a plot bunny in every year. Again, I do a bit of explanation to give the unfamiliar reader the information about the universe, the rules the trio is breaking, and what the universe is doing to strike back.
Unstuck Country: In the aftermath of the series, Taiga decides to make his half-brother Wataru happy by finding a new food source for their people, the Fangire - one that isn't humans. But not everybody is happy with change, especially change proposed by a twenty-two year old King, and Taiga, Wataru, and their allies find themselves in danger. If it's a very long project, like Unstuck Country is apt to be, you have the option of pledging 10,000 words to it. Which I can do. Again, a bit more explanation for the non-fandom-familiar about who these people are and what the conflict is.
