Fatal Frame 2 kind-of runthrough 1

Spoilers for Fatal Frame (1) and the beginning of 2.
So, Fatal Frame 2. What can I say about it, other than it's got a lot more going on than 1. Still can't see any better, though. Need to get that brightness problem fixed!
(It's actually not a huge problem inside the houses for the most part, but boy is it a pain in the rear end during the first segment, where you're walking up this long path and I cannot for the life of me see where I'm going!)
Tutorial for I consisted of: Mafuyu walks around in the entryway a bit, photographs his first hidden ghost, goes into rope hallway, gets his first vanishing ghost, walks into fireplace room, gets a second vanishing ghost and a second hidden ghost, and then picks up a notebook and battles his first hostile ghost. Walks downstairs after an uncapturable ghost, heads into rope hallway, end of tutorial as Mafuyu is grabbed by Kirie.
II's: walk along a veery dark path, come to a clearing, walk down another dark path, walk into a building, follow vanishing ghost multiple times all around first floor, finally pick up camera, take pictures of multiple vanishing ghosts, deal with your first door ghosts (equivalent to the parchment seals in I), find first door key, head upstairs, use first key, wander, battle first hostile ghost.
And, well, Miyako is nowhere as easy as Bound Man, Mafuyu's one and only ghost fight. She's a lot more like fighting Editor, Miku's first scripted boss. Thankfully several of the commands are the same, though apparently the 180 degree turn is gone. I fought her with weak 07 film and got her, but it wasn't easy. It took me looking at a few walkthroughs to figure out that disengaging ghosts was 'wiggle stick', not 'mash x button'.
Another thing I discovered was that changing chapters doesn't heal you like it does in I. Oh dear.
My first two battles (Miyako and Box Woman, who despite my commentary is like fighting a Bound Man with only zero shots, and really not like Broken Neck).
