The answers...
Oct. 20th, 2003 08:38 pmHere's the answers to that meme from the 15th:
1) My writing has been critiqued by two award-winning science fiction authors. True. I had James Blaylock for my second year creative writing class, and Patricia Geary for novel-writing. Both are award-winning authors. And I had stories critiqued by both. (Blaylock went on to teach at Chapman University, or whatever it calls itself nowadays.)
2) While visiting England when I was a little girl, I climbed up on a statue. False. I did go to England when I was 9. But I wasn't very bold and didn't climb on any statues.
3) When I was in high school, I got to write fan fiction during school time. True. In fact, my first beta reader was a psychology student doing a paper on... who knows what... probably maladjusted, lonely high school kids. But I got to write during school time. :)
4) My grandmother babysat a child who would later be one of my college professors. True. My grandparents knew my English professor's parents, and grandma did do some babysitting on a trip. It was real fun introducing him to my grandfather and grandmother at graduation, after keeping the secret all year of who I was related to.
5) I had a sip of alcohol every Sunday for two years. True. As tptigger guessed, this was Communion wine.
