I've been trying to get Project Zero 2 Wii, which I got for Christmas, to run on my U.S. Wii. I knew it could be done, because I've read that several people have managed it. The instructions that I had were to use Gecko OS and to force PAL 60. It turns out that I need to Force NTSC. Huh. (I also had to get an old Wii remote, because mine is too new to work with the homebrew tools.)

Very small spoiler for Osaka House and first ghost fight )

General first impressions:
* Voice acting on Mio, Mayu, and Masumi is pretty good. Miyako is so-so. Sae sounds a bit weird, and I don't mean because she suddenly sounds British.
* The graphics are lovely and worth all the effort I put in to get it to run.
* I think the save point in the clearing at the beginning has moved. I'm used to going away from it to get to the road up to the village, but this time, it's by the village path.
* I think I might have to read the manual, because I know that they restored the Fatal Frame 1 180 degree turn. Apparently, it's "wave nunchuck".

(I think I'll owe an apology to the upstairs neighbor. Things got a bit loud when trying to get this all to work.)

Here is a little bit of Fatal Frame/Project Zero 2 Wii. Sorry about the very low sound, but at least you don't have to listen to me sniffle while I waited for the cold meds to kick in.
