Remix Revival 2021~ (and other stuff)
Aug. 13th, 2021 09:12 pmRemix Revival (
remixrevival) is running again. I've signed up, of course. If you're curious/interested, you can read the rules/requirements and find a link to the signup here on this comm post, but I'll also explain somewhat briefly here:
( cut because I realize that not everybody wants to read the remix rules when they could go to the link above )
For my signup, I chose to represent some of my bigger fandoms (mostly toku/ameritoku) along with one fandom that represents a general fandom interest. ( The fandoms I included and did not include, and why )
(On the off chance you're here because you have matched with me/are interested in matching with me: I've been writing fanfic since 1987 and have accumulated a ton of fic over the years, especially in toku/ameritoku. If you feel overwhelmed, which some of my exchange people have been, try the Original Work and anthropomorphic categories for stuff that might be interesting.)
Not related to Remix, I've been doing well with Duolingo Swedish! (Though I have problems with understanding spoken Swedish - that's something I have to work on. I might pick up a tutor when I have more money.) Also still seeing what installs and what doesn't in Linux, game-wise. I've also picked up a pinch hit for an exchange. Currently having fun trying to canon review for it, though I feel I'm fairly comfortable with character voices. Got a plot idea, just want to make sure I don't contradict any canon details.
Steam has the sequel to The Expression Amrilato, but I'm looking to pick it up from GOG. I'm currently considering whether to pick up Elder Scrolls Oblivion and the mod that Sir Terry Pratchett wrote dialogue for.
I have both the Android and iOS mobile versions of My Time at Portia. IOS is great apart from the fact that I'm trying to play it on a phone and the yellow text is sometimes hard to read. Android? I'm testing it on a tablet that's technically below spec and it has visual issues - might root said tablet and install a slightly newer version of Android and see if that fixes said issues. Fishing is a bit annoying because the bubble is white on white instead of red on white, but I'm getting used to it.
Speaking of My Time at Portia, I'm currently doing a self-imposed pair of mini-challenges on PC: Befriending people in alphabetical order and randomly choosing your skills (Tumblr link).
