Wii Fit Grr Argh

So, I dug my Wii Fit Plus with software out of storage.

I swear up and down I could play it left handed (since I am left handed) but I'm finding no options. Trying to play anything on the Wii Fit is freaking awkward because it assumes I am right handed. (Apparently the Golf software is the only thing that does not assume you're right handed.)

Tried to google this but no results. Wii Sports/Wii Sports Resort does not assume you are right handed. Don't know why they took a step back with this.
