Not This Place Again! (Fatal Frame III)

So, more Fatal Frame III.
When I last narrated, I'd been chased by this knife-wielding maniac. Well, I saved and tried again, and did much better. Where I got stuck for a while was where to find the hammering girl that showed up in a picture. I finally went, "duh! Corridor by where I was getting attacked by the little girl!". So I went there and took a picture of the hammering girl. And that broke the seal. And then I got attacked by this little priestess. I was not really happy. At least fighting the Kiryuu twins helped with her, even though her attack pattern wasn't at all similar. Also my experience with Wandering Daughter helped, I think.
Rei woke up after that, did some stuff, and had a talk with Miku about her brother Mafuyu. And then we went back to bed.
This time around, apparently Miku was the lucky person wandering around the mansion! Except it wasn't the mansion we were in before as Rei, instead we got to go into Himuro mansion. I was muttering curses when I realized what part of Fatal Frame III I was now in. The first two rooms (entrance, rope hallway) were exactly in the same place as the first game, and Miku picked up the Camera in the exact same place as the first game. This time the spirit appearing in the mirror was Reika and not Kirie. I then tried to go into the Fireplace room, but it was a different door and sealed. So, I headed into the other door, which was the Great Hall in the first game, and turned out to be the Great Hall in this game too. Once again, I ran into the knife-wielding maniac, but unfortunately Miku has far less stamina than Rei and so I got killed once or twice before getting the hang of things. The fight with the man gave me a stone that activates Miku's special ability (slows down ghosts) and the Mask of Reflection. (It's something else in game, but that's what I call it.) But before I put that on where the Angry Mask was in the first game, I go down to the entryway to see if I can get out. I can't, because there's one of the pinned dolls there. So, take a picture, shows the room where Kirie was killed. Oh, joy. Head up, hang up the mask, go into the next room, which turns into the fikanta Fish Tank Room!!!! It's called the Preserve Room here. Anyway, halfway through, I get attacked by the woman who keeps telling me "I won't let you go". She kills me one time. Then I go back because I forgot to save, did the whole Great Hall part again, and got her the second time.
Once I got her, she dropped what's called a Twilight Stone. Which is apparently what those five-pointed stones in Fatal Frame I are called that you have to keep retrieving in order to solve puzzles. And I have to solve one of those puzzles in order to get out of the room into the next one. Which turns out to be the room Kirie was kept in. There's a little priestess in there, who apparently rolls a ball out of the cage, just like game one. No Kirie wandering through the mirror, thankfully, so head off to the next room. This one is the room Kirie was killed in, so I wait for the cutscene to be over to see what I need to do. Well, that turns out to be a ghost fight! Goshdangit. So I fight a rope shrine maiden, get the image of the doll burning away, and head back. (This ghost turns out to be little problem because I have a lot of experience fighting in that particular room. Even unfamiliar with the ghost's tactics, I've battled Kirie so often there that I fight very well in it.)
About to head out the door, I hear a voice. A little shrine girl is pointing towards the rope hallway, saying that Big Brother is in there. So, I head Miku back to the Rope Hallway, where I follow the little Shrine girl to the formerly closed door. It unsurprisingly doesn't lead to the Fireplace Room, but down a hall. I wander around a bit, into a library and such, before I find the girl, take a picture, and head into where she was standing. And then the dream fades.
Do a bit of wandering around, talk to Miku (who likes to teleport), get a picture of Kei, do a tiny bit more stuff, and head into the dream again.
This time, I'm someone else. I'm Kei, Yuu's friend! I'm hiding from Reika. First time around, I go the opposite way from where she's heading, because I vaguely remember that's what you're supposed to do. So instead, I get to see Mio from Fatal Frame II briefly, where she's saying "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry...." (I think I'm having a flashback here.) I send Kei to check the door. It's locked, butterfly lock. So, time to find the key, and a camera, since Kei doesn't have one. Well, I go up the stairs, and into a room, and the door across the way is locked. Checking it summons the idiot floating ghost lady, so I run out of there. Second time, I come back in, try the stairway in the room, come to a locked cupboard. Then I explore downstairs and find another door. That leads to some rafters and a locked door, so I head back to try down the hall where Reika is. It turns out that door is locked, too, and I spend way too much time ducking. So I give up for a while.
The second time, I examine the mirror stand and note that there's a holly hairpin. Wait, wasn't that what the lock was? But I can't grab it. In frustration, I try the door again, and in a moment of inspiration, run back to the mirror stand. This time I'm able to grab the hairpin, dodge the ghost, and head out of there. Once I get downstairs, I'm in slightly more familiar territory. I managed to find a way back to the garden with one of the save points and saved so that I didn't wipe out my brain trying to figure out how to get to the Camera. Or the Key to Mio's door.
