For some reason, this was one of those places where playthroughs really stuck in my brain; once I put the clues together, I was okay.
So, last time I had left myself in the garden with the weird decorations. I explored back and forth, finally coming back to the hallway with the bells (Bell Hallway). I remembered, vaguely, that I needed to duck down in the open area between those hallways and the Grave Courtyard, so I ran that way.
Anyway, I practiced Kei's hiding skill. The bad thing is that I didn't practice it well enough, so Reika spotted Kei. Oops? Well, she only drained about half of his health instead of killing him instantly. I decided to go the way she came, trying the door I hadn't been able to go through before. It opened! There was a ghost climbing upstairs, so I figured I should too. She tried to attack me, but I ran the heck out of there, and when I came back, she was gone. Poked around and finally found the Camera. Which means that Kei can finally fight! Yay!
Nothing else, so explored downstairs a bit. In one hallway, there was one of those sealed doors with the dolls, so I figured that's where the butterfly key had to be. When I took the picture, I saw that room where I'd run into the idiot floating lady. Sigh. Headed back around to the staircase and up so that I could go and take a picture of the stand. Said stand included a very unhappy ghost and I decided dodging would be a really good idea.
Ran off with idiot floating lady still chasing me down the hall (what is this, the Kirie run from I?), until I ducked into the bell hallway again. Ran back into the other room, spent time running around the floor downstairs from where I picked up the Camera because of course Men in White chasing me around. Do have a really good knack for Shutter Chancing/Fatal Framing these guys. They cleverly circled around at one point, and I very smartly got away from where they were circling. In the end, I won without getting Kei killed.
Anyway, so headed to the room. I'd seen it before, because Miku had been in there. I headed up the stairs, because I could, and checked out all the shelves. While I was at it, I inadvertantly gave the command for moving the shelf of books that Miku somehow couldn't move (blast it, why is there this kind of stupidity in my Fatal Frame?). While I was wandering around, something blue decided to try coming up the ladder in the space I couldn't reach before. Checked out a flashing room, other door locked tight, got attacked by something, ran out of there. Back down, no ghost. Investigated the altar-like area in the new space and found the Butterfly Key I needed. So, ran all the way back through floating idiot ghost lady's area to get back to where I started, found myself in Kurosawa House from Fatal Frame II, specifically the area where Mayu locks herself idiotically. Take a couple of minutes to pick up a shiny, which turns out to be camera equipment. Then head into the confinement area, where Mio is sitting. Take a picture of her because I remember that it's important to do so at some point, then examine the locks.
That's the end of the dream, so I saved for the evening.
