Akane's one of those interesting characters that is hard to get in character for, but I think I did a pretty good job with this one.

I was writing "Comfort in Arms", and realized that it needed a companion fic about Miku going back to Himuro Mansion to be with the remaining ghosts there. It's one of those fics that fits somewhere in between the first and third games, which is always awkward when it comes to fandom tagging. I'm pleased with how this turned out, with Yuu and Miku, which is always a favorite friendship for me. (There's nothing in canon to say how close Yuu and Miku were friendship-wise, but I imagine someone had to deal with Miku's nightmares, and I'm guessing it was not Rei for the most part.)

There's a mention in Minwu's dialogue about Hilda feeling bad about tossing Firion and team into danger. I felt that made a great missing scene, and thus Being There For Those was born. Hilda is a great character who does a lot instead of sitting on her throne, and I love her for it.

Bounin means "sick person" in Japanese, which is exactly what Godai is. Poor Ichijou! Neither he nor I were able to keep Godai in one place, which meant that Godai ends up fighting a monster. Like most Kuuga Godai and Ichijou fics, this one is very slightly slashy, though I didn't intend it at the time.

I think one of the best things I could have done with the "Harder To Be Brave" sequence was to put it together into one coherent long fic. I'm very proud of this one, and it has 800 hits for a very, very good reason. It's saved at least one life, and I wouldn't be surprised if it kept more than one person going.

I think I mentioned before that I love writing Yuu and Miku, and Yuu helping Miku recover. It's probably one of my favorite Fatal Frame hurt/comfort (friendship) pairings. This one is in semi-script format and covers pretty much the entirety of the first Fatal Frame game. Some of it reflects my thoughts on the matter (can we really not talk about the female head?), some of it was extrapolation from Fatal Frame I and III.
