Funny guys....
May. 31st, 2004 08:30 pmI've been getting Dekaranger off of TV-Nihon (fansubs). Most people I've read seem to be fond of Ban (Red) or Hoji (Blue). However, after watching Dekaranger episode 6, I have to admit that Sen (Green) is rapidly becoming one of my favorite sentai characters. (Kouta from Hurricanger and Mikoto from Abaranger also being in those ranks.)
Dekaranger epsode 6 is a Sen focus. Unlike Ban's focus and Hoji's focus, I actually felt like I got to know Sen a lot better.
I mean, he looked like the stern one of the group, and here he is, relaxing, seeming to laze, and forgetting he has a dust rag on the top of his head! And of course, Doggie K.'s not going to fire him, because Sen is being Sen, just like he wasn't going to drop Ban in the beginning of the series for being an impetuous hothead.
And of course, Sen's way of thinking things through saves the day. He's the one who figures out the murderer when everybody else thinks it's someone else.
He's not beyond being a jokester, either. In the little scene at the start of the credits, he and Ban are demonstrating the jump tube. Except that he has a little fun....

Ban jumping into the "Shooter" (a jump tube, for those familiar with PRiS). It's set to go to Ban's machine, but Sen switches it out to another machine...

...landing Ban right in an unhappy Hoji's lap.
I think I feel some Sen-chan wallpaper coming up.
