I use Firefox and Safari because they block popups. Or at least they're supposed to.

However, even with popups fully blocked on both Safari and Firefox, I'm starting to get popups/popunders again. Admittedly, not to the same extent that I get them if I surf on the work 'puter (and thank goodness the Sidekick web browser seems to be modified Lynx), but still... I'm not supposed to be getting them at all. Fanfiction.net seems to be the biggest culprit on this.

Anybody else seeing this?

I did have that one incident. There was actually something on macfixit.com about the security updates causing this and then fixing it, but breaking other stuff instead.

I don't remember exactly, as I had Tiger and thought they didn't apply to me.

Except for those darn pop unders the other week :)

Yup. Apparently, there are ways around the popup/popunder blocking, though I imagine it won't be long before those holes are plugged. (The Mozilla/Firefox people seem to be pretty quick to fix major problems, unlike Microsoft.)

I use Netscape (which, if I remember right, is derrived from Mozilla) and yes, I'm getting pop-unders. I do, though, suspect that if I upgrade my version to the most recent, most of those might stop again (I'm about three versions out of date).
