He was so peaceful and quiet.
Deneb couldn't help but feel parental as he drew the blanket closer around the young version of his host that he was taking care of. The little boy was sound asleep in that way that human youngsters slept, not caring at the moment about anything, especially not that the one taking care of him was not human.
Human children could be so accepting sometimes, and especially those kids who were looking for someone to take care of them. Once Deneb had promised never to leave him (he would someday, but that was a lesson to be taught sometime when he was preferably an adult), the younger Sakurai Yuuto had accepted him.
Of course, the host-Imagin relationship had made that an easy promise to keep. Deneb was part of Yuuto, was bonded to Yuuto, couldn't leave Yuuto if he wanted to. Which he didn't.
No, he would take care of Yuuto as long as needed. Be there for him. Be his Imagin and his partner and whatever needed to be done.
He smoothed Yuuto's hair as his host slept, oblivious to ZeroLiner's noises. He would protect him, always.
