I think I overdid Yuletide this year (“Write all the stories? Write all the stories!”). On the other hand, I completely failed at NaNoWriMo. (If anybody’s still following Unstuck Country, I apologize for the delay. I hope to pick it up again in January.)

I also learned never ever to ask the people in the #yuletide IRC channel whether I should write another treat. (The answer, of course, always being “Yes!”)

So, one assignment, one pinch-hit, and eight treats of mostly short length later, I have finished writing for Yuletide!

Now, of course I can’t reveal the fandoms and stories, but here are some stats:
* I wrote in nine fandoms and I had nine different recipients.
* Of the ten fics, four were over 1000 words and six were under 1000 words.
* Fandom-wise, I’d written in three of the fandoms before, the other six were new to me. Two of the new fandoms I hadn’t met the source material before Yuletide, and a third I had, but needed to heavily review it before deadline; the other three I was pretty comfortable with after some minor review.
* Recipient-wise, five of my recipients were complete strangers and four I’d interacted with in some form before.
* Five of my stories have song lyrics for titles; the other five are related to the fic, from sayings, or other sources.
* Considering I’m female, it’s kind of funny that seven of the ten are in male POV.
* Five fics are het, five are gen, some to more degrees of het and gen than others. Surprisingly, I did not write any slash.
* Since I was participating in the Chromatic Challenge (an effort to get more characters of color in Yuletide), I’m happy to say that seven of my ten include characters of color. Of course, that’s really easy for me, considering what fandoms I tend to write in….

Now, barring posting one fic to the Yuletide 2010 collection and six to the 2010 Yuletide Madness collection (when it opens), I’m done!

(Before anybody gets envious, let me point out the only reason I have so many is that I kept underestimating my free time/needed to write something to keep me sane, and most of the fics are quick ones. Years of doing NaNo have made me write pretty fast.)
