Some thoughts about Kamen Rider Kiva 21, plus five icons relating to episode.
Okay, not the most exciting episode, except for maybe Riki. Both the sides (86 and 08) revolved around parties (ramen parties); of course both parties involved three men and three women (Jiro, Otoya, and Riki on the 86 side for the men; Kengo, Wataru, and Nago on the 08 side).
Of course, from what I can tell, the reasons for the parties are entirely different. In '08, Kengo has stopped hero-worshiping Wataru/Kiva and started with Nago/Ixa instead. This somehow leads to a party with the above mentioned men, Megumi, and two other girls. The 1986 plot revolves around Jiro's insecurities; Otoya and Yuri are becoming closer and Jiro's afraid he'll lose his best chance to revive his species, so he proposes to Yuri and slips an engagement ring on her finger. (This causes problems, as Yuri's not completely sure about this whole thing.) And Otoya meets what might be his childhood girlfriend. Or first childhood flirtation, anyway.
The 2008 plot somewhat revolves around the party and the waitress that serves the group (played by the girl who played Mari in Faiz/555/Phi's), who is anxious enough without encountering Nago in a bad mood, and ends up tripping and splashing some food onto Nago and Wataru. She runs off, Wataru follows her, of course.
Of course, in the middle of all of this happening, there's the Chameleon Fangire running about in both eras, and we see not only Riki's true form, but Riki feeding. (Which means we now know how the Wolfen and Franken feed, but not about the Mermen.) Riki goes head to head with the Fangire-of-the-week in his normal form, and we see why Dogga form is so tough. He actually kills one of the people at the ramen party, plus the woman he saves from the Fangire. (The party girl is offscreen, but the other woman isn't.)
And of course this whole plot with Jiro's anxieties and the whole thing with the waitress in 2008 continues in the next episode.
