Keitai Sousakan 7 episode 14 opening credits - wha?

Spoilers for the episode 14 opening credits and the events of episode 1.


I just saw episode 14 of Keitai Sousakan 7 (helpfully subbed by TV-Nihon). There are new opening credits, which I don't mind (though I find the 7 and 3 dancing to be rather silly). I can get character/actor credits straight now.

Though, one thing did puzzle me.


What in the heck is Takamoto doing in the second position of the credits in 14, when he was declared dead in episode 1? Are they expecting him to come back from death to resume duties as Seven's buddy?!? (Or is that his twin brother?)

I was curious about this too. As much as I'd love Takimoto to come back somehow, I think it might be a continuity thing since he's mentioned fairly often and people need to at least have a face to assign the name.

With One's "buddy" warning Keita about Anchor. And Takamoto popping up in eo 14's credits... I can't help but think there's SOMETHING going on here. Maybe not to much him coming back and taking back Seven, but there's got to be some reason for this. It's one thing to have the actor be around for all the promo shots in the beginning, that's just a fake out so we don't assume that he's gonna die.

But having it show up now?
