Gotten a little sidetracked by RL
Oct. 19th, 2008 07:50 amOkay, most of my RL (except for midterms/papers) crises done for the moment.
Today/next 24, I need to:
* Study for midterm
* Start writing paper for the other class
* Finish the homework for the other class
* Grocery shop and do laundry
In other news, the last episode of Kiva was wow, and I might have found at least one missing plot bunny from it, and I also woke up this morning with a Jungle Fury plot bunny. Why in the heck I suddenly want to write "R.J. and the (Surprisingly Pleasant?) Government Inspectors", I have no clue.
And, of course, I continue to prep for NaNoWriMo.

I decided I needed both a backup music player and something to type NaNo stuff on/generally have a PDA, so I got myself a low-end Touch. That's "Writeroom" in the pic (which I have for my Mac and will be using for NaNo as well), which allows me to retrieve text from my Mac. I was writing notes for NaNo on the default notepad and discovered that I'd have to email them to myself - and I don't want to set up email. Writeroom has a way to pull my notes off the Touch. (Here's a review of Writeroom with a picture of the landscape English keyboard.)
Apparently with the newest firmware/software update, you have two ways of entering words in Japanese - via a keyboard like an English keyboard, or the keitai-like one above. I'm getting used to the keitai-like one. And what's nice about the Japanese input is that it remembers your favorite words, so when I start typing, chances are that it knows within a kana that I want 世界 (world) or 仮面 (masked, as in Kamen (masked) Rider), or for that matter, 睦月 (Mutsuki, from Kamen Rider Blade).
