estiroseThis is a larger-than-usual batch of "Waxing Wildly", 20 icons in all, from September 2007. I'm batching them in 20 for the next couple of rounds to try to get into 2008 before I run out of 2008.
For those of you who haven't run across this before, this is where I talk about my icons.

Difficult Choice
This is Tendou from the episode "Red Shoes", Kamen Rider Kabuto. I was playing with text, and, well... screencap could hae used a bit more sharpening and a bit less light. I liked the text placement, but the rest of the icon needed a bit of work.
Hiyori BW
This was from a black-and-white screencap of Hiyori from Kamen Rider Kabuto. The original shot was from an early episode. This came out pretty well, I think. There is a border that came out pretty well on half-transparent, and so did the grey text. I rather like this icon.
Wounded
Can you tell that this is a night shot? I wouldn't, had I not made the icon. I was actually very pleased with this icon that I made.
Tendou Pointing
As it says on the can, this is Tendou making his famous "finger at the sky" gesture. I think it's where Kagami is asking him if he's the *real* Tendou (having run across a duplicate), and Tendou proving that yes, he is the right person. And I think the frame came out darn well on this one.
Sun Drake
This was made for the very first week of Tokusatsu Icontest. It's Daisuke, with a light effect put on. I think the effects and text weren't too bad. Oj, and it won mod's choice!
Kagami Tendou Friends
Quickie screenshot with grey borders (fitting of the rest of the icon) of a scene in Kamen Rider Kabuto episode 50. Um... not much else to say.
Alt Marah
The alternate Marah from the PRNS episode "The Wild Wipeout". She's very cute, actually. It's too bad you can't see the monsters in the background. I think this is slightly enhanced/reddened from the original screenshot.
Conner backflip
I adore this icon of Conner backflipping in the PRDT episode "Leader of the Whack".I have no idea what caused the orange distortion in the lower left coner, but it gives this icon a bit of flavor, especially combined with the other effects.
Katie Glum
I love the effect on this icon. It's Katie from PRTF (episode: Future Unknown), frowning (thus the title). I have it as one of my LJ icons currently, because it makes such a great glum icon, as well as a "busy" one, or a generic one.
Wes red
The effect on this icon was achieved by putting a black and white/greyscale layer on top of a color one and just erasing the top layer where the shirt was. It came out pretty well, I think.
Wes Bed
I *think* this is from the PRTF episode "Jen's Revenge". I think. It's Wes, and I've done the effect before, but I can't remember what I did! But I like it anyway.
Guy from Past Clocktower
"Legend of the Clocktower" is not my favorite PRTF episode, but I made this icon anyway. The lines are meant to evoke a folded photograph, but I'm not sure if I managed it.
Vypra
Vypra from the PRTF episode "Time For Lightspeed". Okay, I guess. Not one of my faves.
Trip Maternal
Trip from PRTF, "End of Time" part 1. I think this is about the time he pressed Nadira to help deliver a baby. I think the effects I applied did wonderful things with his hair but he looks a bit... distorted.
Notacon
This icon of the character Notacon (PRTF) was probably made for some reason... but I have no clue what. I do like the poor guy, though.
Hands
My notes say this is from the episode "Jen's Revenge" of PRTF. It's a nice screencap of Wes holding Jen's hand but I don't remember anything else about it.
Hayley Purple
I somehow think there are some effects on this, but I can't tell what. But I like this shot of Hayley from PRDT.
Monster shadow moon
One of the Krillitane from the Doctor Who episode "School Reunion". Makes a very nice generic icon, really, though sometimes I wonder if someone saw it, their first thought would be the series "Gargoyles".
Blue Guy
The Doctor from "The Last of the Time Lords". I painted out the background to show off the Doctor; I think there was a door off to the right of him.
Marbled Mathematician
I have no clue on why I made this icon. I'm not very fond of it. It's from "Numb3rs", episode 3, I think.The projection on the face is from the screenshot; he's standing in the way of a projector, I think.
